If we go back to the basics, remember that boundaries are meant for us. They keep the good in and the bad out; they were created for us to protect the treasures of our hearts. As we’ve seen digital technology evolved over the past couple of decades, we’ve watched the boundaries between work and home become blurred. We’ve seen anxiety and depression increase as we scroll through our social media feeds and attempt to keep up with the lives that are tailored to impress. Social media and technology aren’t bad; they can certainly be useful tools to help us connect with others and make life a little more convenient. I want to help you help you create mindfulness of your digital habits and encourage you to create rules around the usage of technology.
