Why do people lie, and how can you set appropriate boundaries?

Trust is everything in helping any kind of relationship, and when it’s broken, it becomes the only issue to work on. When there is deception, there is no relationship. Truthfulness is the basis for almost everything, and you should have an absolute zero-tolerance policy when it comes to deception. Lying should have no place in your life. You don’t have to tolerate lying when it happens. If someone you know isn’t being transparent, don’t let it go. Set a boundary and tell yourself, “I need people in my life who are going to be honest with me.”
