2019 Was a Significant Year for Us

This was our second full year in operation. We learned some hard but important lessons and we tackled a huge array of topics. Our goal with Boundaries.me is to give you a comprehensive library of resources to help you grow and thrive in every area of life. While we've got a long way to go before we've covered 'every' area, this year we took another big step in expanding our library of courses.

Let's take a look at what the most popular courses this year were:

2019 MOST POPULAR COURSES

1. Safe and Unsafe People pt. 2

Equip yourself against unsafe people

Our most popular course, by a significant margin, is the first edition of the Safe and Unsafe People course, so it's no big surprise that the second volume in this course was a huge hit with subscribers.

Let's take a look at video 1 from this course.

Consequences are a key point of boundaries. When we’ve asked someone not to come onto our property, what happens? You probably don’t open your front door, welcome them in and offer them something to drink. And if you do, well, we’ll work on that! Ideally, you want to have a structure in place that protects your property. And that’s how consequences play a role in setting boundaries.

2. How to Handle a Narcissist

What is a narcissist?

Our second most popular course released this year is on a topic that we hear about a lot from many of you. Relationships with a narcissist can be extremely painful, and many people wonder whether it's even possible for a narcissist to improve or change. Our course explores how to navigate those tricky questions, and how to set healthy boundaries to protect yourself from getting hurt.

Watch video 1 from this course.

3. Entitlement

How someone's entitlement affects your boundaries

Our third most popular course deals with an age old complaint: the behavior of entitled people. You and me are responsible for our own lives, it's a fact of adulthood. There's no reason for others to behave like the rules don't apply to them.

Let's watch video 1 from this course.

Entitlement is the source of a lot of issues in relationships. In this discussion, Dr. Henry Cloud tells us what is it, how to deal with it, and how you can use your boundaries to discern someone’s entitlement versus them having a genuine need. Here’s a hint: Just because someone exists, it doesn’t give them the right to what belongs to you.

4. Necessary Endings

Why do we struggle to end something?

Getting to the next level always requires that we end something, leave it behind and move on. Grow itself demands that we move on. For many reasons, we have trouble letting go of the things that keep us from experiencing the happiness, fulfillment and freedom that we were created to have, and in this course, Dr. Henry Cloud is going to help you normalize endings, see them as something positive and give you the confidence to make decisions that promote growth in your life.

5. Getting Unstuck

Change is Hard

Our fifth most popular course of 2019 was one of our mini-courses. We created this course in response to the many inquiries we get asking Dr. Cloud's advice about how to get out of a rut, make a change, and stop letting the old patterns get you down.

We've included the full mini-course video here.

Change often carries a fair amount of risk, and risk is something many of us avoid like the plague. However, it's important to consider when taking a risk might be worth it. Likewise, ponder whether what you need to gain a fresh perspective on your life, goals or relationships is just the right kind of change. Part of recognizing this opportunity to improve your circumstances is just seeing the needs you have. You have to regularly undertake a self-evaluation and question whether your needs are being met, and whether you're going the direction you want to be going. If you're not, it may be time for a change.

What People Are Saying About Boundaries.me

Boundaries are sensitive topic for many people. The privacy of our subscribers is very important to us, so we are keeping their identities anonymous here, but these statements were taken from our private, invite-only community where subscribers support each other and discuss the courses.

"I want to say that this is the absolute best $9 that I spend. I am growing and learning beyond measure. "Before Boundaries.Me, it was like drinking muddy water. Sure, I got water, but there was other stuff in my life that I felt kept me from ever being able to drink good refreshing water. Boundaries.me teaches me that I can have a filter for the water of life that I drink. The online content and community provide a safe place where my filter is fortified and refined because I am able to gain perspective and insight to the particles of mud that are still in my water and what needs to be adjusted to keep the bad out and let the good through."
